  • Jim Raymondi’s mother passed away this past Saturday. The calling hours will be Friday, August 29, from 6 PM to 8 PM at Lamiell Funeral Home on Cleveland Ave, with a church service on Saturday at 10 AM at St Johns.
  • Jean Smithley (Update) was discharged from Cleveland Clinic Mercy hospital Friday (6/6) after being treated for several weeks for a brain tumor. She will be homebound (for now) with much in-home care. The hope is to start radiation treatment several weeks from now if the tumor continues to shrink. (Update 7/9) If you would like read a more lengthy update from her son CLICK HERE.  Update (8/20) - Jean had an appointment today with the oncologist's office; The cancer panel just met yesterday and the doctor we saw today did not have the report in hand yet to give us all the details. They're tentatively talking about either an immunotherapy or a "chemo" pill. Both have had great results with Lymphoma and have been well tolerated by the patients they have treated with these medications. Follow up Telemed visit with the doctor next tues afternoon on the 26th.
  • Brenda Stoffer had surgery last week (8/13) at Mercy Hospital to remove her thyroid. Pray for wisdom for the doctors, peace and comfort for Brenda and her family.
  • Babara Jarrett (Melissa Knisley's mother)She is 94 years old and fell on Saturday morning and broke her hip. She had surgery Sunday afternoon and is admitted to Aultman Hospital.  She’s struggling with the pain, and her blood pressure is too low for pain medication. Pray for healing, pain management, and strength to be able to get back on her feet again.
  • Janie Fausnight's Sister (Sheila) (8/22) is having major health issues. Please pray for her both physically ad spiritually, and for Janie as she seeks to love and serve her family.
  • Terry Zook (Update) - (7/26) Terry Zook was taken to ER Saturday and was admitted with an blocked bowel (once again). Pray for her treatment but also for wisdom as they have to make some quick decisions regarding a likely surgery. (Update 7/27) It has been decided that the best course of action is an adhesion surgery.  But it has not been determined yet if it will take place tomorrow (Monday) or after a few days of hydration at home. (Update 7/30) - Terry did NOT go home Monday as initially planned. She has remained in Aultman for a few days for tests. She is now set to come home tomorrow (Thursday) and is now set to have surgery on Thursday, 8/7. (Update 8/6) Terry's surgery has been rescheduled for August 21st--pray for peace and comfort in the interim. (Update 8/9) Terry's surgery on the 21st has now been cancelled . She instead is going to the Cleveland Clinic on the 19th to see a surgeon that specializes in inflammatory bowel diseases.
  • Danny Russo (Update 7/27) Danny is now home after successful open heart valve replacement surgery this past week! Danny arrived home on Friday. Continue to pray for his recovery and the entire family as Danny will not be working for some time.
  • Michelle Dooley (Update) (Melissa Weimer's sister and Mike Ray's daughter) has begun radiation treatment on the remaining tumor in her brain. She is hoping to continue chemotherapy on her remaining cancer spots soon.  (Update 7/9) Michelle was taken to the Aultman ER with trouble talking and confusion. It could be that this is the sign of an infection once again. (Update 7/10) Today Michelle was moved to the ICU after an EEG detected she has been having seizers. (Update 7/18) - After being released from the hospital earlier this week, Michelle went back to the Aultman ER Thursday with mobility, speech, and cognitive issues. They found an infection and are stopping chemo. They will not start it again unless the infection is gone.  (Update 7/21)  Michelle was sent home yesterday (Sunday) with hospice care.
  • Mary Jane Phillips  is now living in assisted living today at the Canton Regency (4515 22nd St NW), Room 159. She welcomes visitors and phone calls.
  • Paula Moore as she is now living back at home but has several health challenges.
  • The McKelvey family  is now home from Cincinnati after Abe's extensive surgery on his foot Monday, May 19th, which went well. Continue to pray for his lengthy recovery at home.  Update: on Tuesday (6/24) The McKeleys traveled to Cincinnati on to have Abe's cast removed. They are asked for prayer as they saw Abe’s “new foot” for the first time since having 4 toes amputated.  Pray that reintroducing weight bearing will be easy and not painful for him in the coming weeks as he continues this healing process.
  • Jonathan Amrhein as he continues to recover from the effects of having his brain tumor removed
  • Jake Hatcher as he continues to recover from extensive back surgery and battles ongoing pain.
  • Jeff Bartolone is in St.Luke’s Memory Care Unit. He cannot have visitors, but welcomes cards.
  • Roger Norrick (Update) Caleb's father,  Roger is in ICU in Indiana with a collapsed lung and infection. He has had a tracheostomy to help with breathing. Be in prayer for Roger, the medical staff, and the entire family as they hope that Roger can be stable enough to move out of the ICU. (Update 7/11) Roger, who has had a trach for quite some time, had a trach collar installed today. So although he is not on a ventilator, he is still in ICU and hopes to move to a step down unit soon (within a couple of weeks) .(Update 7/31) Roger was released to go home this afternoon and is now recovering at home. 
  • Billy Harvey is in kidney failure and is in AlterCare of Louisville. He is schedule for a consultation at University Hospital on 6/23 for a potential transplant. Pray for him (as well as the family) during this difficult time.
  • Rita Forsythe has been moved into hospice care. Please pray for Tom and the family during this time.
