The Gospel – Meeting Jesus
What to Expect
Sunday’s are all about experiencing the love of Jesus and living that love in practice toward others. You can expect to be encouraged through songs that are mixtures of new sounds as well as old favorites. We listen and respond to God through the faithful verse-by-verse preaching of His Word. Children, youth and adults will find classes that are tailored to their needs from capable and caring leaders. You will notice many of our people laughing, conversing, serving, and enjoying each other in our lobbies and hallways.
Preaching / Teaching
At Faith Bible Church we strive to have a high view of God and a high view of His Word: the Bible. We believe the Bible should be preeminent in our hearts and lives, which is why we center our worship service on the expository, verse-by-verse teaching and preaching of God’s word. For more information about how we function, go to our What We Believe section.
Sermon Archive
We invite you to listen to our many video and audio sermons in our 15+ year media archive.

Here at Faith Bible Church, the short answer is, “We teach the Bible.” And, we certainly have been influenced by confessions of faith and theologians of the past and present for whom we give thanks and with whom we would identify.
In short, we have been most influenced by the strand of theology coming out of the protestant reformation that can be summed up by the statements: Scripture Alone, Grace Alone, Faith Alone, Christ Alone, To the Glory of God Alone.
We teach the God of the BIble is sovereign, yet relational, making men and women in his image to glorify him on this earth. Yet, despite our rebellion and falling into sin and alienation from our creator, God had planned a gospel of redemption to save fallen sinners through the unique person and work of Jesus Christ. This unique savior will not only redeem individual human beings, but will one day create and lead a new humanity on a new earth where all the effects of sin will be undone. All things that come to pass in history are ordained by God, which he uses for his glory and the good of those who know him through faith in Jesus. The mission of the church, until Jesus returns, is to glorify God by living lives that conform to the commands of Jesus and making his gospel known to people of all nations.
Confessions of faith which we feel faithfully summarize the truths of God’s Word are the Apostles Creed, the Belgic Confession (1561), the 1st and 2nd London Baptist Confession (1689), and the Westminster Confession of Faith (1647). While we do not agree with every statement in these documents which do not impact the Gospel, we are proud to stand in the tradition of faithful Bible teaching upon which they were written.
Some of those from history which we have most been influenced by would be men like: John Calvin, Martin Luther, John Owen, Jonathan Edwards, and Charles Spurgeon. More modern-day men would be D. Martin Lloyd Jones, R.C. Sproul, John MacArther, and Albert Mohler.
Ministries that we would endorse would be Grace to You, Southern Seminary and Boyce College, Ligonier Ministries, IX Marks, and Crossway.
For a detailed document containing all of our “We Teach” statements on a whole host of theological issues, please see our What We Teach Document.
For our church bylaws (Constitution), please see our How We Function Document.
For a listing of things which we practice which are not necessary for all Christians to be like-minded on, see our What We Practice Document.
We care for our community primarily by pointing others to their need for Christ and through meeting practical needs. Some of the ways in which we do this are to constantly stock a food pantry for anyone who is in need. We host a community outreach dinner the last Tuesday of every month. We reach out to nursing homes, schools, jails, and our members individually share the love of Christ in many ways, shapes, and forms as they GO on mission. Speaking of mission check out our Ministries and Mission’s pages to learn more about how we live the love of Christ to others.

Additionally, for your child’s security every classroom has a window in the door for easy viewing.
Children
At Faith Bible Church, our children learn to worship God for who He is, based on an understanding that we are all sinners in need of a savior. We do this by meeting as a unified children’s church for group singing and teaching. Then we divide into small groups for age-appropriate teaching and discussion. We alternate working through the Gospel Project Curriculum and the New City Catechism New City Catechism allowing each child to go through the entirety of the bible and a study of theology twice during their time in Children’s Ministry.
We love our little ones at Faith Bible Church and we promise that our qualified, loving and caring staff will care for your children as if they were their own. Each week they will hear about the loving, saving message of Jesus – no matter what the topic of the teaching. At Faith Bible Church we believe that Jesus is the Hero of ALL the Bible.
Our children’s Sunday School classes are divided based on age/grade from 2 years old to 5th grade.
Safety Philosophy
We take safety seriously as indicated by a Stark County Sherriff’s deputy present at Sunday morning and evening services.
Our class worker’s are background checked and vetted by our Pastoral staff. Additionally, our classroom policy does not allow for an adult to be alone with a child. To accommodate this philosophy we strive for our classes to include both a male and a female staff person – depending on our volunteer pool. We also have windows on our classroom doors for accountability and safety.
Student Ministries
The purpose of our student ministry is to provide a safe place for pre-teens and teenagers to grow in their Christian Faith. We accomplish this through preaching and teaching God’s unchanging and perfect Word.
We believe that the best way for us to function as a ministry is to assist parents in pointing their children to Christ and to mature in their faith. Our role isn’t to be the big show in town, rather it is to partner with parents and come alongside them to help support the nurturing of a faith deposited.
We meet on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights as well as special events and evening activities throughout the year.
If you are looking for a fun place for your student to experience the love of Jesus in the church and through others, look no further.
