As announced on May 31st, FLOCKs in August are re-launching as Small Group Fellowships (SGFs). Hosted by a mix of new and existing faces, we are excited that there will be 13 groups to choose from. They will meet on various days of the week, offer a more intimate setting, and continue what is good about our current FLOCKs. On this page, you will see who is hosting, what days the groups are meeting, and what to expect for each group. Feel free over the next few weeks to reach out to the contact host listed if you want more details to help you decide which group to sign up for. The groups are listed in order by the day of the week they will meet.

SGF Frequently Asked Questions

Can I sign up for more than one SGF?
We prefer that you sign up for just one SGF. Please contact the elders with questions about exceptions.
Can I see who will be signing up for the groups?
Yes, once sign-ups go live on June 14th for members, you will be able to see who is signing up for the groups
Does the group ideal size include the hosts?
No, the number of adults listed as the ideal size does not include the hosts. It is in addition to them.
How long will SGFs last?
SGFs will run on 10-month cycles (August - May) and will break for the months of June and July. Leading up to and during the off months, both SGF hosts and attendees can re-evaluate their participation going forward. Hosts may opt not to continue as hosts. Attendees will be given the option to join a different SGF when the next round of groups start the following August.
What questions can I ask the SGF Hosts before signing up?
Feel free to ask the listed SGF host clarifying questions about the desired setup of their group regarding the study time, meals, house set up, expectations of child supervision, the length of gathering, etc. We are allowing the SGF hosts to have leeway for setting the format of their gatherings.
What if my preferred SGF is full?
We ask that you consider signing up for another group as the commitment is only for 10 months. In some circumstances we may ask an SGF host to make an exception to their limit, but we are not guaranteeing this. You never know how the Lord may use a new situation!
Will elders be attending SGFs?
While some elders are co-hosting SGFs in an official capacity, other elders may choose an "anchor" SGF, while others may focus primarily on moving through the groups for accountability and elder accessibility.
How will the elders know what is going on in the various SGFs?
We have set accountability expectations for all SGFs, including acknowledging that hosts believe a certain set of doctrinal statements from our What We Teach document that goes beyond those statements marked Essentials for Membership. Each SGF will be attended by an elder at least once, and elders will check in with SGF hosts throughout the 10 months. The elders will know what subjects/studies are being taught that are not based on weekly sermon review. Also some groups have been strategically set up to pair more seasoned hosts with less seasoned hosts.
Other Questions?
We realize that there are various situations we have not anticipated. Therefore, the answer at this point to some questions may be, "We don't know yet." We ask for grace as we all try this new format which we believe has many positives for our body. However, if you still have questions, please ask one of the elders or contact Pastor Jared and we will do our best to answer.
