November-December 2026 Learning Hour Classes
From God's Good Gifts to His Greatest Gift (Various Teachers) -Fellowship Hall
As we enter the Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons, this class will encourage us to slow down and reflect on the many good gifts God has given us. During the first two weeks, we will consider themes from Joe Rigney’s book The Things of Earth: Treasuring God by Enjoying His Gifts, exploring how we should receive and enjoy God’s good gifts with genuine gratitude while allowing them to point our hearts back to Him. During the last five weeks we will look toward Christmas and the greatest gift God has given: His Son. We will watch (and discuss) shorter Christmas messages from several well-known and trusted voices (Piper, DeYoung, Mohler, and MacArthur). These messages will give us an opportunity to hear familiar passages of Scripture proclaimed by trusted Bible teachers while keeping our attention centered on Christ.

New City Catechism (Bob Beasley) - Room 302 (Upstairs)
Many may think God’s Law is a curse and a heavy burden, but this block our Catechism study turns those notions on their head. For the Christian, God’s moral law in the Ten Commandments guides us to a wonderful, happy life that glorifies our Creator and Savior, Jesus. Join us we continue to look at the New City Catechism (Questions 9 through 15). Parents, these questions will mirror those covered in the children's classes during this block.

Join us as we cover what we believe at FBC, why we believe it, and how we live it out together as faithful followers of Jesus Christ. If you are seeking to become a member, or if you want to be refreshed on topics such as our doctrinal statement, church constitution, and other philosophies of ministry and church life (leadership, missions, student ministries, service in the church, church discipline, unity, etc.), join us as two of our pastors teach, lead discussion, and take questions. All are welcome to attend, and THIS CLASS IS A REQUIREMENT for becoming a member at FBC.

The Truth Project (Caleb Norrick & Pastor Mike) - Room 303 (Upstairs)
The Truth Project is a video-based class led by Dr. Del Tackett that explores how a biblical worldview shapes the way we understand and engage with the world around us. We will use a combination of watching parts of the videos and discussing the material throughout the class. Through topics such as the nature of truth, philosophy and ethics, the nature of man and evil, the character and nature of God, creation and scientific inquiry, history, sociology, union with Christ, work, and loving our neighbors, participants will examine how God’s truth applies to every area of life. This class will challenge participants to think critically, deepen their understanding of Scripture, and recognize how a biblical worldview influences their beliefs, decisions, relationships, and purpose as followers of Christ.
